Enough

“My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness. Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.” 2 Corinthians 12:9

You are ENOUGH…. I say it again… you are ENOUGH!!!! You don’t have to be all together to be used for God… to tell you the truth He uses people who are weak, who are full of sin, and just doesn’t cut it in our world.  Think of Moses, who doubted God, who could not speak without stuttering, and he killed a man, but through God’s strength, Moses led the tribe of Israel out of Egypt. With God’s strength, Moses parted the Red Sea, and led the Israelis to safety on the other side, and with God’s strength Moses was able to move the people of Israel closer to the promise land.

Let’s take David for example: he was way too young, to pretty by our standards, and had a love for the wrong woman, oh and had someone killed. But with God’s strength he killed a giant, led the Israelis army to conquer the Philistines, and many other people. He brought the ark home to rest, and with that woman he fell in love, gave birth to one of the wises kings in Israel history.

Wait I think I can find some more in the bible, but you might be saying… what about our times… How can God use me?… I am to fat, I had a child out of wedlock, I am not smart enough, I am too scared, I can’t do it without a partner, or I just can’t do what God is asking!!!! Those are pretty heavy excuses, and don’t get me wrong I have use them too. It took God putting me in a deep pit for me to understand that he is in control!

Sometimes we are focus so hard on our flaws that we forget that God created us. Our flaws become so big that it blocks out God’s voice or His tugging on our hearts. Our Flaws become bigger then God and that is when, we as sinful people cave into what ifs and imagination… we break off relationship, ditch friends, don’t take job offers, and just simple walk away. God will let you run as far as you can, until you are broken and call out to him. That is when he comes and takes charge of your life….

I was sitting in my mentor’s office crying out to her about how useless I was, how my heart was broken and I just could not put it back together. How I was so tired of living one day at a time, and I was so tired of not hearing God other than the words “WAIT” She held out the tissues and just listen to me cry, and softly she spoke… maybe God is call you to go to Africa. I just looked at her and said “how can God take a broken person like me, and use it for His glory?” Whoa I should have kept my mouth shut….

Within two weeks, I had a place to stay for year, and a full plan to leave for Africa! See God can use anyone!! It took my weakness for God to show his strength! Which brings me back to my point… you are ENOUGH!!! Because when you are in front of God… He sees His strength in you. He sees all the plans that he has for you and that should make you want to run towards that plan!!!!

Don’t listen to the lies of Satan who says you are not good enough for that relationship, that job, the mission, or that class. To God you are enough and if you struggle with that then bring it to God… He will put his strength in you to do His will!!
