First of all, I did not pick Uganda.... God pick Uganda. He is the one that moved things into place to guide me there!! Now that we have an understanding about it: Why Uganda?
Africa has always held a part of my heart: all through middle school, through high school, somewhat in college, but it grew into a tense passion when I accepted the LORD in 2005.
I didn't care where God lead me in Africa as long as I could go!!! I am not qualified to be a missionary, but God qualified the call to be a missionary!! I just had to be ready to take that step of faith. Once I took it, God met me full force!!!
I don't want to go into detail about were I will be staying do to security reasons, but once there I will give detail account of the place that I am staying at and pictures to go along with it. For now lets start with Uganda itself.
Uganda is a beautiful place to live and visited.
Uganda has 60 protected areas, including nine national parks: Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and Rwenzori Mountains National Park (both UNESCO World Heritage Sites[20]), Kibale National Park, Kidepo Valley National Park, Lake Mburo National Park, Mgahinga Gorilla National Park, Mount Elgon National Park, Murchison Falls National Park, Queen Elizabeth National Park, and Semuliki National Park.
The biggest attraction is Lake Victoria
Lake Victoria is one of the African Great Lakes; it was named after Queen Victoria.
With a surface area of 26,600 square miles, Lake Victoria is Africa’s largest lake by area, and it is the largest tropical lake in the world. Lake Victoria is the world's 2nd largest freshwater lake by surface area
Place where I will be staying in is Jinja... a town on the edge of Lake Victoria...
